HenanUniversityofEngineering(HUE),aprovincialleveluniversity inHenan,isoneofpilotuniversitieslistedinExemplaryApplication-oriented HigherInstitutionssponsoredbythePeople’sGovernmentofHenanProvinceand DemonstrationBasesofInnovationApplicationoftheIntegrationofDigital MediaProductionandEducationsponsoredbyMinistryofEducation.Locatedin ZhengzhouCity,HenanProvince,withatotalareaofabout428acres,HUEis composedofthreecampuses,i.e.theLonghuCampus,TongbaiCampusandNanyang Campus.AtPsent,therearemorethan26,000studentsreceivingafull-time educationhere.

Oureducationdatesbackto1910withtheestablishmentofHenan OfficialSecondaryIndustrialSchoolswherethefamousanti-Japanesegeneral YangJingyustudied.ItwaslaterrenamedasHenanTextileCollegein1954.And HUEbeginswhenHenanTextileCollegewasmergedwithZhengzhouEconomic ManagementCadreCollegewhichwasfoundunderthedirectleadershipofthe MinistryofCoalManagementin1956.

Upholdingthemottoof"beingperseveringandbeingassiduous",and adheringtotheprincipleof"education-oriented,puttingmoraleducationfirst, ability-orientedandapplication-oriented",HUEworkstofacilitatethe integrationofproductionandeducationbycooperatingwithenterprises,to promotethecombinationofscientificresearchandfieldtraining,toimprove thestandardsofteachingandresearch,toincreasethequalityofpersonnel training,andtoenhancetheabilitiesofservingregionaleconomicandsocial developmentdrivenbyinnovation.Ithassuccessfullydevelopedintoan application-orienteduniversityincludingaperseanddistinctivemixof disciplinesinthefieldsofartsandsciencewithengineeringasitspillar. Theyear2016,whenHUEsuccessfullypassedundergraduateteachingwork assessmentbytheHigherEducationeva luationCenteroftheMinistryof Education,heraldsaneweraofitsdevelopmentincultivatingtalentsand elevatingthelevelofeducation,ofteachingaswellasof researching.
